Anointing of the SickThe Communal Anointing of the Sick will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:00 am.  If you, any member of your family, a friend, or a neighbor is suffering from any physical or emotional pain, please join us.

The anointing of the sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death. It is most likely one of the last sacraments one will receive. A sacrament is an outward sign established by Jesus Christ to confer inward grace. In more basic terms, it is a rite that is performed to convey God’s grace to the recipient, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

For more information please contact Donna Berube, via email, or call (978) 744-1930.

Concern

Pastoral Visitors bring Communion to parish members who are house-bound.  This ministry lets them know that they are still part of the spiritual life of the church.  Hospital Visitors visit the hospital during the week assuring patients that they are in our prayers, as well as just "listening" to them.  Bereavement offers comfort and condolences to families in the loss of their loved one.  We may represent the parish at the wake or funeral Mass and assist in the use of the Family Room after the services at the cemetery.  People are helped to feel that through their faith in God and the love of the family and friends they are not forgotten in their time of sorrow.
