Join the Choir!Come, see what the St. Anne's Music Ministry is all about - rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 10th for Choir and Tuesday, September 16th for Handbells!

The Music Ministry at St. Anne's is a very active and vibrant musical enhancement to Mass celebrations and church/community events.  We are seeking additional members who desire to enhance our liturgy through singing or by being a member of the handbell ringers.  Some vocal/music skills are required for participation in the choir, but desire to volunteer is the overriding acceptance criteria for both groups.

The season begins in September and concludes in early June.  Handbell rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7-9 pm in the Church.  The handbells participate in the celebration of Mass and in various conferences and performances throughout the season.

Choir rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm in the Church.  The choir sings twice per month at Mass and performs special programs during the Lenten and Easter seasons, as well as occasionally participating in invited performances in and out of Salem.  A sacrifice of time, talent and a commitment to attend rehearsals is required to maintain membership in the choir.

If you think your singing voice, or your sense of timing, rhythm and percussion music skills could enhance the liturgy for others, please consider joining the St. Anne's Music Ministry.

Music Ministry

We provide an Adult Choir and Handbell Choir.  We are dedicated to providing the assembly with music that is both participatory and prayerful.  Workshops, seminars, lectures, and conventions are regularly attended by the director, soloists, cantors, and choir members.  We strive to provide our "parish family" with music that inspires and touches the deepest part of our emotions, and evokes those emotions that respond with "Christ-like" actions.

Cardinal Seán O'Malley

Take advantage of this new opportunity to receive a "Weekly Email from Cardinal Seán & The Pilot " that will include special messages from Cardinal Seán, content from Cardinal Seán's Blog, official press releases from the Archdiocese, and links to current stories from The Pilot, new programs from CatholicTV, resources for Mass & Prayer, a calendar of upcoming events around the Archdiocese and other helpful information to deepen Catholic faith life.
