At the request of the couple, outside organists and soloists will be welcome to perform at weddings providing:

Organists play regularly at a church.

Organists are known to the Music Director or will audition.

Organists are acquainted with Catholic liturgy.

A program of music is submitted in writing six weeks in advance of the wedding for approval.

The regular organist’s fee is paid one week in advance.

Soloists are experienced in church or classical music.

Soloists are known to the Music Director or will audition.

Consult with the Music Director regarding appropriate music at least six weeks in advance of the wedding.

Rehearsals for soloists (other than immediately before the ceremony) will require an additional fee.

Soloists will provide two copies of their music written in the key it will be sung.

Music Director must be provided with correct addresses and phone numbers of both the bride and groom.

Sometimes well-meaning relatives and friends offer to play or sing for a wedding.  If they are well trained and accomplished organists or singers, their participation can enhance a wedding in a special way.  If, however, they have no background in church music or are not used to performing before a large group, their contribution can detract from the solemnity and beauty of your day.  Should you want additional musicians, many are available to the Music Director and are listed on the Musicians' Fees Schedule sheet.

Music Ministry

We provide an Adult Choir and Handbell Choir.  We are dedicated to providing the assembly with music that is both participatory and prayerful.  Workshops, seminars, lectures, and conventions are regularly attended by the director, soloists, cantors, and choir members.  We strive to provide our "parish family" with music that inspires and touches the deepest part of our emotions, and evokes those emotions that respond with "Christ-like" actions.
