At the Stewardship Committee meeting on February 26th at 9:30am Rev. George Dufour passed out summary pamphlets from the Archdiocese of Boston titled:

 A Pocket Guide to the

Policies and Procedures

for the Protection of Children

for distribution by the ministry leads to all adult St Anne Salem parish volunteers.

Any parish volunteer who did not get a Pocket Guide can contact their ministry lead, the rectory or reference the entire document on the Archdiocese of Boston at the following url:

http://www.rcab.org/Administration/Policy/HomePage.html

The pamphlet is an important summary document for being unified with state and local government in protecting our parish children.  It has a reporting action matrix that correlates Massachusetts legal statutes, DSS notification requirements with Archdiocese regulations.  With all adult volunteers understanding their responsibilities we can offer better responsibility and vigilance of our children from abuse.

A training course to be given by Deacon Norman LaPointe is currently being organized.
