 The U.S. Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is touring the Archdiocese of Boston with permission from Sean Cardinal O'Malley, OFM Cap. St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish in Beverly will be hosting the statue of Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
A Talk on the Fatima requests of Our Lady, the recitation of the rosary, and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place at that time. Rosaries, scapulars, and leaflets will be available. This will be a time to pray for world peace and for your own, personal intentions. Writing materials will be available, so people can write out their petitions and drop them into a box placed near the altar. Everyone on the N. S. is invited to attend. St. Mary's is located at 253 Cabot St., downtown Beverly.
The statue was given to the U.S. of America in November 1967 by the Bishop of Fatima and blessed by Pope Paul VI be fore beginning its journey throughout the United States.
