Do You Know Our Parish CAP Team? Our CAP, or Child Abuse Prevention Team is a group of highly dedicated parish volunteers who have been trained by the Archdiocese in facilitating the child abuse awareness and abuse prevention program called "Protecting God's Children."
They have also been given training in how to report child abuse that is suspected, observed or self-disclosed by a child. They are in place in all parishes and parish clusters as an important resource to assist us in the responsibilities to protect our children. All clergy, and any employee or volunteer who has contact with children in their employment or ministry is to take PGC training. Watch the bulletin for upcoming training events.
